Belfast Yarn Works was established in 2020.
Born from a love of the textural and inspired by the island of Ireland and its unique character.
Belfast Yarn Works seeks to explore the tactile nature of wool and yarn as a medium, while in addition creating a collection of distinctive homewares and art. From art inspired by the natural landscape to fun and bright wall hanging pieces, a collection that will continue to grow and evolve.
From her Belfast based studio, designer Maeve McCall creates a bespoke range of hand crafted punch needle items.
About the Designer
Maeve has been heavily influenced by the built and natural heritage of Ireland throughout her career, with a background in Cultural Management and conservation, Now splitting her time between Northern Ireland and Connemara she continues to be inspired by both rural and urban Ireland, while also balancing time with her family.
Maeve discovered the traditional craft of punch needle while seeking a creative outlet. Find out more about the technique here.
